On June 20, 2022, within the framework of the Horticulture Market Development program of Syunik-Development NGO, an exchange visit for farmers of Vayots Dzor region in Vardenis city of Gegharkunik region was implemented in collaboration with Shen NGO.
The ten farmers visited Hayk and Tigran Harutyunyans’s large nursery, the leader-farmers of the Horticulture Market Development program. That intensive-modern pear nursery has a hail netting, and a drip irrigation system.
They got acquainted with seedling care and treatment, the main means of pest control.
During the exchange visit, 10 farmers from the Vayots Dzor region had an opportunity to obtain experience in working in large nurseries.
The practical training course was conducted by Karen Gabrielyan, an agronomist of Shen NGO.
