Agriculture is one of the main branches of the Armenian economy․
It is the main source of livelihood for the population in many communities of the Vayots Dzor region. For this purpose, the NGO, in cooperation with the Canadian Atken Armenia Foundation has launched a project entitled Animal Breeding as Income Generating Opportunity.
Project beneficiaries are five families from the rural communities in need who have lost a family member during the war or have disabled soldiers.
Three beneficiary families were provided with 6 piglets and fodder (for 4 months), and two families were provided with two cows each.
Syunik-Development NGO implements various projects to support each individual and family in need.
Within the framework of the Animal Breeding as Income Generating Opportunity project, ten families so far have already acquired employment.
