About two hundred young people from the consolidated communities of Areni-Gladzor participated in a practical emergency training course organized by the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Service within the framework of the Youth Mobility project taking place in the Siranuysh camp of the Vayots Dzor Diocese.
Within the framework of the training course, the representatives of the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Service presented the youth with the guideline of the most important response actions used in emergency situations.
Participants practiced safely river crossing and did evacuation exercises demonstrated by the rescue team.
The training was presented by Suren Harutyunyan, Lieutenant Colonel of Vayots Dzor Rescue Service, Nikolay Mkrtchyan, Captain of the Rescue Service, and Arsen Ayvazyan, Sergeant of the Rescue Service.
The representatives of the Rescue Service expressed readiness to keep in touch with the youth even after the project.
Youth is our future, the homeland begins with youth. With these words, Lieutenant Colonel Suren Harutyunyan completed the course.
