Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic many of Syunik-Development NGO initiatives have been shifted to online platforms. The Webinar organized within the framework of the “Vocational Training and Support for Integrating Displace and Marginalized People to the Armenian Job Market” project was one of such initiatives. The topic of the webinar was “National Cuisine” which aimed at giving the beneficiaries the opportunity to develop their professional skills. The webinar was conducted by Sedrak Mamulyan, the head of Armenian Cooking Traditions Development and Conservation NGO. The project also aimed to prepare professionals who are competitive and have demand in the labour market.

During the first day of the webinar participants learned about the history and development of the Armenian cuisine, diet and food processing methods. On the second day, they had the opportunity to attend a Master Class on cooking two national dishes led by chef Sedrak Mamulyan.

After the professional training, the project career planning specialist, using online platforms and tools, will worked individually with the beneficiaries to develop their CVs and individual career development plans that met the requirements of the labor market.

Taking into account the needs of the beneficiaries, it was decided to conduct a webinar on “Entrepreneurship” within the framework of the project, which aims to help participants to start their own business.

The project is implemented by Syunik-Development NGO in collaboration with the House of Hope Charity Centre Foundation through the financial support of German Brot für die Welt organization.
