From September 26th to 29th 2017, Syunik-Development NGO hosted Tony Halepli, Jocelyne Hall, Antoine Terjanian, Sheila Terjanian benefactors from the Canadian Atken Armenian Foundation and Sarven Avedis Altounian from France, a dentist and the President of the Armenian Cultural Center ANAKO located in Paris.
The guests visited Syunik-Development NGO’s headquarters, experimental orchards and dental clinics where they discussed the many projects now being carried out by Syunik Development NGO and explored further opportunities to support our work.
Under the umbrella of the Canadian Atken Armenian Foundation, the Halepli family currently supports Syunik-Development NGO projects in horticultural development and beekeeping in the Vayots Dzor region. The aim of these projects is to help rural communities in poverty reduction and provide beneficiary farmers with the latest technologies in cultivating fruit trees, as well as developing their entrepreneurial skills. Our guests monitored these projects by visiting our local nurseries and other related projects. They also paid individual visits to farmers supported by these initiatives to learn about their unique experiences.
Syunik-Development NGO expresses its deep gratitude to our Canadian-Armenian benefactors for their continuing interest and support in the Vayots Dzor region.
