From March 28th to 31st, 2024, the Syunik-Development Communal NGO is conducting the inaugural integration gathering as part of the organization’s “Support to socially marginalized people living in the border villages” project, taking place at the Lucy Tour Hotel Resort of the Hermon settlement.

The participants of this integration project comprise 15 forcibly displaced families from Nagorno-Karabagh/Artsakh, totaling around 63 individuals. Among them are families with children, families of fallen freedom fighters, and elderly members who have sought refuge in Vayots Dzor Province.

During the initial phase of the agenda, senior participants of the project had an opportunity to acquaint themselves with one another and adapt to their new environment.

And children engaged in various imaginative and creative activities utilizing games, and drawing tools, and also participated in a musical event organized for them. That musical event was made possible through the contribution of Rostislav Ivanchenko, a beneficiary of the NGO’s Integration project, who himself was displaced from Ukraine and found refuge in Armenia.

Continuing the project, comprehensive psychological support and meetings with social workers will be provided, offering necessary assistance to all participants as they navigate their resettlement journey. General information regarding this support will also be disseminated.
