For more than 28 years, Syunik-Development NGO has unwaveringly dedicated itself to the support of border settlements.
Syunik-Development NGO, in collaboration with, and funded by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, successfully implemented a sub-grant project focusing on enhancing the Health Post of the border guard Khndzorut settlement. This initiative encompassed intensive training for medical personnel and the provision of crucial medical supplies, equipment, and property.
Simultaneously, within the framework of the program, the staff at the primary health center in the consolidated Zaritap community of Vayots Dzor received specialized training facilitated by therapist Gayane Grigoryan, who is a beneficiary of Syunik-Development NGO’s integration program.
The project’s pinnacle was marked by an event on December 8, attended by Mkhitar Matevosyan, the mayor of the consolidated Vayk community, Hunan Ohanyan, the head of the Khndzorut administrative district, Emma Hanisyan, the primary health care center responsible for the Zaritap community, and representatives from Syunik-Development NGO, among others.
During the event, attendees were acquainted with the program’s objectives and the medical equipment, supplies, and property acquired through its successful implementation. Furthermore, children from the Khndzorut settlement added a cultural dimension to the occasion by showcasing ethnographic dances.
In their closing remarks, M. Matevosyan and H. Ohanyan expressed gratitude and emphasized the significance of executing impactful projects, particularly in the border guard Khndzorut settlement.
