YOUTH EMPOWERMENT NGO IN COOPERATION WITH SYUNIK-DEVELOPMENT NGO STARTED 2022 WITH THE TRAINING COURSE FOR THE YOUTH MOBILITY PROJECT LEADERS

In October 2021, Syunik-Development NGO and the Vayots Dzor Dioces launched a project entitled Youth Empowerment. Participants of the Youth Empowerment project were provided with practical and theoretical knowledge by Regional Emergency Service, get acquainted with the basics of the First Aid, several courses conducted by the American University of Armenia (AUA) and Mashtots Publishing House, as well as participated in various intellectual and entertaining games.

During the meetings, participants have the opportunity to meet and discuss their concerns with representatives of the local government, military, historians, relevant representatives of the emergency service, representatives of the regional administration, and municipalities.

Until the end of 2021, we have been held two stages of three-day mobility meetings. More than 400 young people in each stage joined the Youth Mobility project in the Siranuysh camp of the Vayots Dzor Diocese.

We started 2022 with the training course organized for the leaders of the Youth Empowermnet project. During the meeting, the leaders participated in the training course on Project Cycle Management.

The training course was conducted by Harutyun Harutyunyan, an independent expert of Syunik Development NGO and a lecturer at the AUA. Participants of the training course were equipped with new knowledge and skills of writing new project proposals. During the training, Harutyun Harutyunyan carried out individual and group practical work as well as introduced the fundraising process using various interactive methods.

At the end of the three-day meeting, the coordinators discussed the agenda of the third stage of the Youth Empowerment project, during which they will share knowledge, skills, and experience with the project participants.

The Youth Mobility project is implemented by Youth Mobility NGO in cooperation with Syunik-Development NGO, Vayots Dzor Diocese, Regional Administration, and Municipalities.

The participants of the first meeting of the third stage will be the active youth of the Areni community.
