For more than 25 years, Syunik-Development NGO has been organizing camps for children at the Siranuysh camp of the Vayots Dzor region.

In 2021, from August 4th to 13th, more than 60 children from Armenia and Artsakh were hosted at Siranuysh camp.

Seminars, psychological courses, song, dance, journalism clubs, and handicrafts were the main activities in the camp.

During these days Syunik-Development NGO hosted a group of young volunteers from Germany ARI – Jugendverband der Armenier in Deutschland e.V. and France․

They visited the camp to participate and contribute to several initiatives implemented by the NGO, such as:

  • The newly established Unicus Child Development Center in Yeghegis consolidated community․
  • Annual summer camps organized for 16-18-year-old teenagers from bordering communities of the Vayots Dzor region and Artsakh.

During the visit, food was provided to Artsakh families living in Taratumb communities by the volunteers. They have also participated in the cleaning of the area around the camp and renovated the benches.

On November 29, 2021, with the support of German-Armenian volunteers, a new playground for the children of Unicus Child Development Center was built.

Supported by the Foundation Nord-Süd-Brücken with financial support of the BMZ․

Syunik-Development NGO expresses its gratitude to the new friends for their sincere, dedicated volunteer works, effective and smooth cooperation.
